The flat was spacious enough for six, with a great view of Toscolano Maderno, and the hosts were nice. For a week, it was okay. We could have given it five stars if the rooms had been renovated and the pans and other kitchen items replaced. The interior has seen better days, and there wasn’t a shelf in the shower. The breakfast we got on arrival shouldn’t be compared with hotel breakfast. The hosts’ dog barked at night, so we didn’t sleep well.

The chairs are steel instead of nice lounge chairs, and the garden shown in the picture isn’t available to you. The breakfast they provide is so bad that you’d rather head out hungry.

The apartment works fine in terms of basic furnishings, but the refrigerator didn’t really work and the oven was very loud. I missed having more cutlery, a baking tray ☹, a salad bowl, a bigger frying pan, and at least air conditioning in the sleeping area. The outdoor setup disappointed us too. The seating was broken and only had room for two, even though the apartment is meant for six 🤔. The photo shows a terrace and garden, but those belong to the landlord, who lives downstairs. The apartment’s own terrace is nice, just much smaller and too cramped for young children to move around.
