Our lunch at Reale in July 2019 was a magical start to our vacation, and we all left stuffed and a little tipsy after the limoncello. The meal was generous and delicious, with enough food to make us wish we had looser pants. Gaetano, whom we’ve come to adore, gave us a friendly, informative tour through the vineyards and cellars. We started with a big antipasto and charcuterie plate of homemade mozzarella cheeses and cured meats. Then came creamy pasta with zucchini flowers, eggplant parmesan, and a trio of seasonal desserts. The wine tasting was generous and delicious too. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and winery for a memorable experience.

The cooking is traditional and uses excellent ingredients. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with every flavor better than the last, and the wine was excellent too. Cardamone red is my favorite. Any occasion is a good excuse for dinner at Osteria Reale.

The winery is even prettier in person than the pictures suggest, so it could use some updated photos. We had a lovely overnight stay, with charming traditional rooms overlooking the garden and vineyards. The prices felt fair, and the vineyard setting and magnificent backdrop are beautiful. The restaurant on site is well worth trying. The welcome and service were warm from arrival to goodbye. Breakfast is a simple, sweet Italian spread, but the delicious pastries were enough to start the day. We’d gladly recommend both the winery and staying here.
