Il Frescale Country House

After my marriage proposal, we spent two lovely August nights here. I won't forget how warm Angelo made us feel. He was a wonderful person to talk to and pointed us toward great food and places to visit. The forest setting in Tramonti felt authentic and peaceful, and not being surrounded by crowds made it even more special. The food was the best I've ever had, especially the pizza. Everything was so delicious that we never felt like eating elsewhere. The restaurant is charged separately, and its reputation brings people in from outside, so it seems like a great place for celebrations too. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the private parking near Maiori was very convenient.

We spent 5d at Il Frescale, tucked away from the busy Amalfi coast and Napels, and it felt like paradise. Flowering shrubs, lemons ripening on the branches, and birdsong made the place so peaceful. Our room and bathroom were spacious and spotless. Angelo and his family run the restaurant on the property, which made it easy to have a late supper. His wife, son, and daughter made us delicious fresh vegetarian dishes in a local style. Angelo is a wonderful host who really wants you to feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was great. I think they noticed what we liked, because there was even more of it on the buffet the next day. This B&B deserves all the stars. Don't miss it.

A peaceful mountain base away from the crowds, yet still close to Maiori. The owner and his family were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the hospitality felt special. Their restaurant was excellent too, with fresh local food and local wines.

Il Frescale was the highlight of our holiday this year. Set among chestnut trees in the mountains, it had a lovely climate, much more comfortable than the hot beach villages. The owners were so welcoming and sweet, and their restaurant served delicious food made with many ingredients from their gardens. I had the best pizza I've ever tasted. Sitting under the vines was lovely, and all the waiters were so friendly. If you don't make it home, I'd recommend staying in one of their cozy rooms for a peaceful night in this little paradise :)
