Bed and Breakfast Longobardi

Clean and quiet, close to the port.

The staff were friendly, but the room was pretty basic and could have been cleaner. The mattress sagged a little. Fine for a single night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. Parking was the biggest hassle: we were told we’d find a spot on the street below the B&B, but there wasn’t one at any time, day or night. That was inconvenient. And despite being called a bed and breakfast, there’s no breakfast.

Apart from the location, this was a terrible stay, and I can’t recommend it. The room was dated, the beds uncomfortable, and the whole place needed work. The old bathroom drain smelled so bad we had to keep the door shut or the odor spread through the room. The air conditioner rattled at night, but it was too hot to switch off. Cleaning was poor, and one of the women was very rude. We booked by phone at short notice after another B&B owner recommended it. We said we had a baby, a toddler, and an 8-year-old, but nobody warned us that the stroller wouldn’t fit through the downstairs doorway or that the stairs to the room were so steep. They said the beds would be enough, but it was far too cramped. There was no crib, and all four of us ended up sharing a 160cm-wide bed that was terribly uncomfortable. Parking was another ordeal. Thankfully my husband is a good driver, because otherwise parking near the B&B would have been impossible.

The owner was friendly, and everything else was fine, but that mattress was misshapen and extremely uncomfortable. The B&B is right in central Trani, near everything, though parking nearby is impossible. We parked at the port.
