The apartment is in an excellent location, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except an undemanding solo traveler without a car who eats out. I didn't have a good time because of several practical problems, even though the owner was friendly and approachable. The issue wasn't the interior. The induction cooktop barely worked because of a general electrical problem. To switch it on, I had to turn off every other appliance, and even then it wasn't reliable. I'd expect a working gas or electric cooktop in an apartment, and there wasn't even a kettle to heat water. As someone who starts the day with tea, I found that a real inconvenience. I also need to correct what the owner said about parking and breakfast. Neither claim was true. Breakfast wasn't more than supermarket yogurt and a cookie, and there was no way to make a hot drink yourself. Cars aren't allowed in the zone where the apartment is, so parking isn't there either. The nearest lot is 500 meters away if you can find a space. You can park on the street, or, for guarded parking, drive 2 kilometers and pay.

The house was clean and comfortable, just right for two, and breakfast included fruit, juice, yogurt, toast, biscuits, tarts, jams, milk, and granola. I arrived expecting the steep stairs and short supply of hot water I'd read complaints about, but found a charming home with every comfort. There are 30 old steps, split across four flights. I'm over 60 and managed them without trouble. A lift isn't something you can expect in a medieval home in the center. The location is ideal, in a typical all-white neighborhood between the Jewish Quarter, the cathedral, and the port, with restaurants and bars nearby. The 50-liter boiler gave me enough hot water to shampoo my hair. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time in Trani's historic center.

The apartment is in a medieval building right in the Old Town, which is an attraction in itself. The owner was very nice, and everything a guest needs is there. The port is just two steps away, with fresh seafood to buy and plenty of restaurants serving wonderful Italian food. We definitely plan to come back.

A cozy, cute little apartment right in central Trani. The owner was kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
