ibis styles Trani

The customer service was excellent, with friendly staff who were happy to help, especially Leo at reception. It’s a good hotel for a modest price, just a short walk from Trani harbour. The continental breakfast was satisfactory.

The location is convenient for walking to the town center, and they changed the towels every day. Still, in my opinion, those two positives can’t make up for all the problems. As a loyal AllAccor member, I usually pick associated hotels because I trust the standards behind the brand. This one was a complete disappointment, more like an outdated 1970s shelter than a modern hotel. The staff greeted me quite nicely, but required full payment at check-in. Looking back, I suspect they did that because guests might shorten their stay once they saw the actual standard. The room was basic and dated, with stools instead of bedside tables and windows facing the railway tracks, so it was extremely noisy. The AC ran for only about 40 minutes before switching off, and there was no way to reset it. The shower head was broken. They said it would be fixed, but nothing happened. Breakfast was poor in both quality and quantity: by 8 a.m. the cheese and jam trays were empty, and the dining room staff seemed disinterested and unmotivated. The dining area was dirty too. To me, this hotel doesn’t meet the standard I’d expect from an AllAccor property, including an Ibis Styles, and sadly I’d never recommend it.

It’s an older hotel, but clean and nicely located, with kind and helpful staff. You’re close to the railway station and can take a pleasant walk to the port and city center. Roberto at the Front Desk helped me with all sorts of matters. Grazie mille, spero di tornare in Bella Italia e Trani 😃

The room never cooled below the ambient temperature. The AC was basically useless, cutting out after 10 minutes, and staff said the temperature settings were limited. The drains in the shower were clogged and water kept pooling. There was no proper duvet, just old, thick, itchy blankets. The shutter blind was stuck open, and the curtain was so thin you could see outside through it, which made sleeping in the mornings even harder. The staff were nice, but couldn’t fix any of these problems.
