Baita Zeni

Set higher up in the hills, Baita Zeni has lovely views and such peaceful surroundings that the stay felt magical. I would absolutely go back and recommend it for a unique, heartwarming visit. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the meals were a delight, with authentic Italian flavors lovingly prepared by the Italian lady who runs the hotel. Breakfast pancakes were a highlight. The rooms are comfortable, with different kinds of pillows to suit different preferences, and Brioche the friendly dog became our daily companion. All of it made for a restful, charming stay.

The meat really stood out: excellent quality and cooking, tender and full of flavor, hard to find at this level elsewhere. Generous homemade sides and desserts rounded out a memorable meal. We were thrilled from the warm welcome to the quality of the food. The atmosphere is cozy and familiar, a lovely setting for traditional Trentino cuisine. The portions are generous, every dish carefully made, and the authentic local flavors come through in satisfying courses with balanced combinations and plenty of intensity. A place where tradition, passion, and quality come together. Highly recommended if you want to experience Trentino through its most authentic cooking.

The food was good, but with that price and such an inconvenient route, I can find better. And no dumplings for me? No!!! Sorry, there are much better options, and it's not worth the effort.

We called twice to check our reservation, with the second call two days after our visit. At the restaurant, someone who seemed to be the owner was brusque with us. First she said there was no reservation, then that it was there but for lunch. The exchange with the woman was a farce, and her only apology was that we'd driven there for nothing. The service was nonexistent. Judging by other reviews, the owners haven't improved.
