The quiet setting made it easy to relax, while town was still close by. We spent four nights in this Castelrotto apartment and had a fantastic time. It was spotless and welcoming, with every comfort, thoughtful design, and a stunning mountain view. We also found it a great starting point for hikes and mountain walks with breathtaking scenery. A lovely choice for comfort, nature, and downtime in South Tyrol.

The terrace was a highlight, with loungers and a table and chairs where we could eat while looking out at the spectacular view. A little stream runs past the rooms, and its babbling was perfect for falling asleep. I wish we had one at home! The apartments are a good size and furnished with taste, blending traditional and modern pieces. The kitchen has what you need, along with an AM/FM radio, TV, dishes, cleaning supplies, and high-quality furniture. I also appreciated the thoughtful technical choices, from the parquet flooring to the bathroom colors across the tiles, furniture, and towels. The windows insulate well, and all have mosquito nets and shutters for anyone who needs them. The setting is secluded and peaceful, with exceptional panoramic views. On clear evenings the stars are spectacular. There are trails just steps away, the nearest bus stop is a two-minute walk, and the nearest restaurants are 5-10 minutes away on foot. The farm manager is extremely kind and helpful. You can buy eggs from the farm, arrange fresh bread delivery each morning, or get fresh milk from a nearby farm. The outlets are all 3-pin Schuko, so we didn't need adapters. One downside: the downwind apartment can get cigarette smoke when guests in the neighboring upwind apartment smoke.

For a winter week, this apartment was just right for skiing and relaxing, with a ski bus stop right across the way. It was brand new, nicely furnished, and excellent value for money. The owners were extremely helpful with anything we asked.

Petra's farm was a great base for exploring fabulous Val Gardena, and we had a wonderful week there. The place was welcoming, spacious, clean, and well looked after. It was perfect for the kids.
