The value was hard to believe, it was so inexpensive for what you get. I’d happily stay again. The rooms and shared areas, including the living room, are really nice, and the little streets around the accommodation are charming, they reminded me of Game of Thrones. In autumn, you can look out from outside and see the mountains with a bit of snow on them. It’s a comfortable place for a stay at this time of year. Breakfast is simple but delicious, with everything you need: a typical Italian spread with lovely cappuccini and cornetti.

There’s plenty of space, and everything feels new and very well looked after. We especially liked the flooring in the room and the comfortable mattress. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and the price was excellent for what we got.

Traona has plenty of history and tradition, with lovely views over the Adda Valley and hiking and motorcycle routes close by. Terra Buona was a delightful surprise that we stumbled across almost by accident. It’s a modern lounge bar, renovated with good taste, and there are four rooms for anyone who wants to stay and take their time. Yesterday afternoon, while riding down from the San Marco Pass with a group of biker friends, we stopped for coffee. Roul, the owner, welcomed us warmly. Being able to leave our bikes right in front of the bar and put our helmets and jackets away safely without worrying was priceless. It really deserves the “Welcome Bikers” title. The bar’s also a great spot for an easy afternoon break or an aperitif. Highly recommended for its relaxed feel, genuine hospitality, and as a handy stop while travelling or just enjoying a quiet moment.

The rooms and facilities were clean and well kept, and the owner was kind and very helpful. It has everything you need, plus more than some larger properties. Highly recommend.
