Hotel Vittoria

We booked a triple room through Booking.com, but when we arrived, the hotel only had a double room on record. They did give us a triple, though it was completely different from what I’d reserved, and its AC wasn’t working properly. Three of us stayed in the room for two nights and three days, but the AC barely worked. We asked for a fan and were given just one small unit, which wasn’t enough for everyone, so we had to buy another one ourselves to make the stay bearable. We also asked to change rooms, but the hotel said it was fully booked and couldn’t move us. That’s understandable during peak season, but the AC and general comfort issues still weren’t resolved. When we asked a staff member to check the AC, he was extremely rude. He rolled his eyes and sighed deeply, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially since it happened as we rode the elevator together to our room. In the middle of summer, a broken AC and one small fan for three people made the stay extremely uncomfortable. It was disappointing not to get the proper room we booked, especially with that service. The breakfast buffet was good, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall negative experience.

I stayed for 3 nights on a short visit. Mr Givanni at the front desk made a great first impression, very polite and helpful. He recommended a pizza restaurant, and the pizza was very good quality. We also met the owner, Miss Rossllin, a fantastic lady. My friend is planning to come next year with his family. The location is top notch, just five minutes from the nice, clean, unspoiled beach.

Great value in a perfect location. It was easy to park in the main lot across the street, though you do have to pay a bit. The staff were super helpful, even at night, and breakfast was great. I would’ve stayed longer, but they were fully booked.

The room itself was spotless and huge, with a separate sitting area, though the small sofa was about all that was in there and you couldn't watch the TV from it. We also got a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, and the minibar was restocked, but nobody explained whether that was included. If the price is right, it's an okay place to sleep. Breakfast was hit or miss: no hot dishes, but the coffee and cakes were good. The restaurant felt soulless, like a hospital cafeteria, and we were seated by the fire extinguishers with rock-hard rolls. Trapani is quiet after dark, so there wasn't much to do in the evenings. During our stay, a strange horse show took over the seafront. The public beach was largely unusable under heaps of dried seaweed, and the one beach club apparently has no connection to the hotel, despite what the website suggests. The hotel itself has no sea view, just a large car park and the town square. There’s no outdoor area for guests beyond a couple of plastic chairs on the pavement. We had booked a cheap three-night stay after reading the reviews and the hotel website. We enjoyed ourselves, but the place didn't live up to all the praise. The staff were nice, but the bar was never open. It took me half an hour to get the front desk man to make a gin and tonic, and he didn't know what one was; he also said he was too busy to tend the bar. Our air conditioning didn't work, and nothing was done after we reported it. We couldn't find a guide to the hotel facilities or any Wi-Fi, though we had 4G, so we couldn't cast to the nice Samsung TV to avoid the local channels. At night, staff rearranged the restaurant until around 11, keeping us awake. We ended up going to bed early. The old town is lovely to walk around, with authentic local cafes and ristorante, small bars, and no chain stores. The hotel is average and could be much nicer with a barman and fewer coach parties.
