The couscous di pesce was the standout for us: a generous serving, rich broth, and plenty of fresh mussels, scampi, and tender fish. It was the best version we tried on our Sicily trip. We also loved the spada alla Pantesca, with its perfectly cooked swordfish and bright tomato sauce full of olives. Salamureci is set in a welcoming vaulted room with rustic stone arches and low-key lighting, a calm break from the busy lungomare. The burrata with salmon and pistachio felt indulgent without being too heavy, and the oysters were cold and briny. Even the salad stuck with us, with sweet tomatoes, sharp onions, capers, and olives that tasted fresh. We ended with a Cannolo Siciliano: crisp shell, very fresh ricotta, and a little pistachio on top. Service was efficient and professional without hovering. For four of us, including several starters, main courses, desserts, water, and a good bottle of Terre della Baronia, we paid €167. That felt very reasonable for the quality. After more than a week eating around Sicily, this was our favorite meal. We'd happily come back.

The staff were kind from start to finish, and this was a lovely first place to stay in Sicily. I arrived before check-in and they still welcomed me. I’m sorry I asked so much while the room wasn’t ready, trying to find somewhere to change clothes. The garden was nice, breakfast tasted good, and I stayed comfortably. Thank you for giving me such a good memory. I’ll write about it on my Korean blog when I’m back!

We tried the lunch tasting menu, and the roasted octopus with saffron potato cream was the highlight. It had just the right texture and temperature, which takes real skill. Trapani is a great spot for proper seafood dishes rather than street food, and Salamireci delivered. The dining room has a lovely atmosphere, and the seafood was presented beautifully in the Trapanese style. I’ve eaten at plenty of places in Sicilia, and this restaurant didn’t disappoint.

We spent four nights here in Trapani. The room was comfortable and cleaned every day, and the staff were friendly. Having breakfast included each morning worked well for us. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything and near the ferry port for trips to the islands. Thanks for looking after us!
