Angelo Apartments & Rooms

The property itself was pleasant and as described, and the other staff provided reasonable service. Still, the host's communication was disappointing. I booked months ahead, then was asked right away to cancel. Only after the booking platform intervened did the host agree to keep my reservation, saying she would cancel another guest instead. I also had to call to get self check-in directions, which hadn't been sent. I never got the house information or WiFi password despite asking. Clear communication and respectful host-guest relations matter to me, so I can't recommend this place based on that experience. There was also a strong, overpowering smell from the bathroom sink throughout my visit. It may be due to the building's age rather than the host, but anyone sensitive to odors may find the place unsuitable.

During my Sicily Divide bikepacking trip I stayed at Angelo's place for one night. He was very kind and stored my huge bike box before I even got to Trapani, and I had a safe place to park my bike. The room was new, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable night. It's right in the heart of the city, close to the harbor. I'd definitely come back.

We booked for four people, but the place felt much smaller than we expected. There are two bedrooms, yet the only bathroom is inside one of them, so the other couple couldn't use it easily. The advertised terrace wasn't there, and the whole property had a very damp smell. I’d strongly advise avoiding it.

Angelo and the rest of the staff were always around when we had questions or needed help, and his tips for trips and places to eat worked out every time we followed them. The apartment is right in the city center, close to the port, Trapani Porto bus station, and ferries to Favignana and Levanzo. The buses also make it easy to reach places like San Vito Lo Capo or Palermo city and airport. Even with such a central spot, it stayed perfectly quiet at night. The hosts were beyond perfect.
