The welcome was excellent, and the location is a real plus, just a five-minute walk from the port. But the B&B is basically an apartment on the third floor with two bedrooms, and we had the room with a shared bathroom. Things could use a refresh, and the cleaning felt superficial, especially in the bathroom. With the window left shut overnight, the smell in there was unbearable in the morning. Breakfast was at a nearby café where the staff weren't especially welcoming. Trapani has better cafés and pastry shops.

We were across from the ferry dock, which was very convenient. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and private bathrooms are available. It's a private host renting rooms in his own home, and he was kind enough to arrange an early taxi to Trapani airport for €35, a reasonable price. The apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator, though, so the stairs can be rough with heavy bags.

Mr. Francesco welcomed us warmly and was very helpful. He suggested the "Sotto Vento" restaurant, which I highly recommend, and a safe free place to park for two days. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, and the location worked well for both the ferry and Trapani center. B&B Francesco was as described on the booking site.

The housekeeping was poor, and the rooms felt cramped with dated furniture. We found a dirty glass and an unpleasant-looking toothbrush holder in the bathroom. The rooms aren't cleaned, and the supposed reception area is really a messy, dirty storage room. These places need to pay more attention to order and cleanliness.
