Cantiere Dell'Anima - Art Resort

This place felt all show and no substance. It wants to be a four-star hotel, but the service was more like one star. I’d booked two specific suites over two months ahead, then found we’d been given different rooms. Staff walked us there and said nothing until I pointed it out. The receptionist mumbled that another guest had been unhappy and they’d switched the rooms. If I hadn’t raised it, I doubt they’d have told us. It felt sneaky and disrespectful. They didn’t offer even a partial refund or another solution. Breakfast was mediocre, with cheap yogurts and sliced bread. The location is good, though noisy. All in all, a very average stay. I won’t return, and I’ll tell my friends to look elsewhere.

We especially liked having breakfast on the rooftop terrace, and our room was spacious. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city center. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending a sunset bar without the tourist crowds and some fantastic local restaurants. They even booked the restaurants for us. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The standard room is advertised as having an inner courtyard view, but there was no view at all. When you open the window, you face a grim wall with a window through which people could get into the room, since that building is unused. There’s no natural light or air, which could be extremely dangerous for someone with claustrophobia. The owner said it wasn’t her problem because we’d paid in advance. This property is a scam. Don’t stay here. There are plenty of other central places with beautiful views.

The hotel’s decor really stood out. It felt like staying in a modern art museum, with stylish furnishings throughout. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed and a fairly large, well-equipped bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with lots to choose from, and the staff were kind and attentive. We really appreciated their hospitality. The hotel is on a quiet lane in the city center, near Trapani’s main sights and some very good local restaurants. You can park on nearby streets, about a 5-10 minute walk away. Everything about the stay was perfect.
