Casa del Marinaio

We had a terrible stay at the B&B in the sailor's house with my friends. Honestly, it doesn't deserve even one star. The problems started at check-in. I'd called the night before, and the lady, who may have been the owner, said the rooms came with towels, a hair dryer, shower gel, and shampoo. She said we could bring our own if we didn't need those things. But when we went to the address on the voucher the next day, she said she wasn't expecting us. She then gave us keys to two rooms at another address, on the top floor with no elevator. One door was broken, other doors wouldn't lock, there was only cold water, no lights, and a gecko was crawling freely on the wall. There was no shampoo or shower gel either. The taps were in such bad shape that they were disgusting to look at, let alone touch. The tablecloths were clearly dirty, and since she hadn't expected us, the rooms hadn't been cleaned. There was also a smell. The lady called, sounding surprised, and asked me to come see for myself, as though she couldn't quite believe it. But it was dinner time, so we had to go eat and couldn't wait around. She offered to put us in a room at the main B&B where we'd booked, while leaving one room at the attached B&B. We turned that down because both rooms were a problem for us. While we were out at dinner, nobody cleaned the rooms. They suggested another B&B a kilometer away from the place we'd booked, as a starting point for checking in the next day. We would've had to get into those rooms by 11:30 PM. We were still eating, didn't know whether that place would be better or worse, and didn't want even more inconvenience, so we refused. We just shut our eyes and stayed in the same awful conditions. The next day, no one came for check-out. We were told to leave the tourist tax and keys behind a stand, and we also missed breakfast. We had to go to a bar instead and pay €21 for 5 croissants, like we were really tourists.
