The location is good, and Trapani itself is worth visiting, but the apartment was a disappointment. The building smelled strongly of cigarettes, apparently because of the sand-filled containers, which should be emptied more often. Our place was on the third floor with no lift. The stairs are narrow, many steps have cracks, and hauling suitcases up them felt difficult and dangerous. There was only one window, facing the street. The bed was two spring mattresses on an iron frame, and the bathroom had a dreadful shower. Spending 10 euros to replace the hose would help, and the apartment needs a mirror too. Watch your step leaving the main door, the step is slippery. The beach opposite is awful, with lots of seaweed and so many stones that getting into the water is hard. I’d suggest heading toward PIZZOLUNGO or S.VITO LO CAPO, which is fabulous. I gave 2 stars because the city is worth seeing and the place has some merit, but for the house itself, even that feels like too many.

It’s good value for money and close to the public beach, where swimming is usually fine. After a storm, though, the shore can be covered in algae and plastic. The accommodation is simple, clean, and nice. There’s nighttime noise from the main road along the coast, but the air conditioning works, so you can sleep with the window closed.

The apartment is very close to the beach, with sun loungers, a bar, and a restaurant. Inside, though, it felt dark and quite worn. The beds were bad, and there was hardly any hot water pressure, so a shower meant ice-cold water.

It’s right by the sea with lovely views, and the apartment was clean and fully equipped. The owner speaks Russian too, which made communication great. Having a washing machine was a real plus. I recommend it.
