Agriturismo Duca di Castelmonte

Fresh farm products, generous portions, delicious food, and prices that are hard to beat. The service was warm, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and authentic. This farm stay is a hidden gem, with an on-site restaurant that serves food straight from their farm. Highly recommended!

We still have such fond memories of our days there one year ago, in June, with our two young kids. They remember loads of little details from their time "in the castle". Having breakfast on the little "terrace" in front of our house, surrounded by quiet and nature, felt like a lost eden. The girls loved the animals and the playground while we waited to be served dinner, and they enjoyed exploring the surroundings. We liked the food, the very simple but beautiful traditional architecture, and the relaxed vibe. The downsides were a small, dark kitchen and lots of mosquitoes, though nothing a morning bath in repellent couldn't help with. We really recommend it for families.

Dinner and breakfast were incredible, and we had the best dinner of all the places we stayed in Sicily. The room was exceptionally clean and inviting, and we loved how quiet and secluded it felt. Roosters and chickens woke us, along with the occasional squawk from the peacock. A lovely experience. This was our first Agriturismo, and it was a refreshing change from the city hotels we'd stayed in. It's secluded, so without a car, plan to take a taxi or just stay put and relax.

The family were lovely and so welcoming, and I'm hoping to visit again someday. Duca di Castelmonte is a beautiful agriturismo, and its location makes it a great base for exploring western Sicily. The rooms were great and cleaned daily. I loved the restaurant food. The pizzas, pastas, and desserts were all so good, I couldn't pick a favourite.
