Corso Vittorio Apartment

I strongly advise against booking this apartment. The place itself was dirty and cluttered with belongings left by previous guests, the sheets smelled, and the entrance was so filthy that cockroaches appeared every night. The loft is reached by a difficult, dangerous spiral staircase that wasn't shown in the listing photos. The price seemed completely out of proportion to what the apartment was worth. My experience with the owner was terrible too. She asked me to cancel the Booking.com reservation so she wouldn't pay the transaction fee, apparently so she could treat us badly without a review appearing on the site. She first said over the phone that bank transfer was fine, but when my friend and I arrived in Trapani she demanded cash. I refused, and my friend paid by transfer despite her insistence. Before we arrived, she was rude on the phone when I asked whether anyone could help with our bags. After we got there, she stayed around and challenged what we'd discussed when booking. She also refused to give us two keys, even though there were two of us. When my friend left early and I needed to get back in, the owner wouldn't come open the door, and I had to threaten to call the police. On checkout day she kept texting me, insulting and threatening me over two dirty pots left in the sink. I ended up having to lock her up. Don't book this place. Giving money to people who persecute, offend, and bother unhappy guests over an inadequate, dirty apartment is really the last straw.

I've never stayed somewhere more beautiful. Being right in the heart of Trapani made for an unforgettable visit. The apartment had everything we needed, and the hosts were lovely, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend it.
