Mario was such a lovely host during our three-night stay. He was friendly, helpful, easy to reach, and full of information. His suggestions included boat hire and walks, and the apartment had handy leaflets and takeaway details too. We couldn’t have asked for better, 10/10. The apartment was spotless, well kept, and had everything we needed: a washing machine, iron, good cooking facilities, dishwasher, and coffee machine. My husband took a liking to espressos! It’s in a small apartment block up in the hills above the lake, with private parking. From the balconies, we had beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The pool was well maintained and a welcome treat in the heat. It’s a quiet spot with lovely views, about a 10-15 minute walk or a couple of minutes by car down to the lake. There’s a nice little park with swimming access, and we went down for a refreshing dip in the lake on a couple of mornings. Tremezzo is small but has several restaurants, and the ferry makes it easy to visit other places. We went to Belaggio for dinner and caught the 9pm ferry back. We absolutely loved Lake Como. Sitting on the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine, or having coffee in the morning while watching the swifts and taking in the view, was wonderful. We’d definitely return and recommend it 100%.
