Miralago

We had a very enjoyable stay, helped along by the warm, welcoming staff and food that was better than we expected. English isn't their strongest point, but I've experienced much worse, and they always tried to make themselves clear. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We especially liked the spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino al pomodoro and the strudel di mele con salsa alla vaniglia. There were plenty of other tempting choices on the menu too. It's a 3-star hotel, and that's what you get: a solid 3-star stay, no more and no less. The staff's friendliness made a real difference to our impression.

The menu had a perfect choice, and the fish dishes were so tasty. I especially liked the local fish, with its funny English menu translation, the polenta, the fish appetizers and the fish pasta. Staff were friendly, though talking about the food was tricky because they speak Italian or German, but no English. There’s an open terrace with a common view, and a really nice indoor terrace looking out at the lake and mountains.

A lovely spot above Garda Lake, with a fantastic view. I recommend it for lunch or dinner if you want to enjoy the scenery. It's small and quiet. We arrived at 14h30 and couldn't order from the full menu anymore, only a limited one, but there was still a good selection. The fresh fish with pink pepper was good, and so was the dessert, though it was frozen rather than freshly made.

Such a great spot above Garda Lake, with incredible views and nice people.
