Hotel Residence La Pertica

There was no air conditioning or drinking water, and we had to pay for every towel. The staff were unprofessional and very rude. This was my fifth and final stay in North Italy, and it ruined the mood for the whole vacation. I'd avoid this place and stay near the lake.

For what it cost, this place was way overpriced. My kids found the bunk beds too short, and we had to pay extra for every little thing, including sheets, towels, cleaning and washing. That doesn't feel like a hotel to me. There wasn't even a vacuum cleaner or proper mop, just old-fashioned brushes that didn't clean well. The pool was okay, but aside from table tennis we had to pay for every sport. Altogether it was much too expensive, and I won't go back.

We had to find somewhere at the last minute after our original accommodation cancelled our booking, and ended up having a great time. The area is well equipped and the pool is lovely. Lots of families stay here, so it's easy to meet people if you feel like it. The restaurant was amazing, and I had the best tortellini here. Our apartment had everything we needed and a newly renovated bathroom. The bed and pillows were much too hard for us. A choice of pillows might help, since some people like them firm and we prefer softer ones. Apart from that, everything was perfect. Thanks for welcoming us, we'll come back!

A petanque court was the one thing I missed, so I had to make do with tennis instead. Otherwise, it's a lovely, well-maintained place for family downtime and a great starting point for MTB tours. The hosts and the rest of the team are very nice and accommodating. The food is excellent too, and the Tuesday evening fish platter is not to be missed. For me, that's a clear five-star stay.
