The apartment was damp, smelled bad and had mould. We booked for three, but only two beds were made up when we arrived. The third was a pull-out sofa with no wall behind it, and we were expected to make it up ourselves. There was no hot water for the first 24 hours, until the boiler was fixed. Plaster is crumbling from the kitchen ceiling right above the hob. The saucepans had no lids, which made that especially worrying. The largest pan also won't work on the induction hob. Only two of the four cooking zones work; the two larger ones don't recognise pans smaller than the marked hob area, and there aren't any pans large enough. The appliance is useless and clearly hasn't been tested by the owners. The kitchen and sink are in a vaulted room with no window. What a letdown. You don't want to spend a hard-earned, well-deserved break here.

It was nicely situated, but the accommodation could have been much better with a little investment. There was no Wi-Fi, and the third person got only a small storage room. The layout was poor, there were no wardrobe hangers, and the place was dark with no terrace or balcony. It was also right beside the road. The advertised bread delivery and farm shop weren't there. We wouldn't come back.

The owners, an Italian family, were incredibly nice, and communication went smoothly even though we don't speak Italian. The grounds were in excellent shape, with a lovely pool, lots of sun loungers and a small playground. Beautifully set in the mountains above Limone, it's a fantastic place.

The drive is along a winding, serpentine road, and a decent car can manage it. We took an old Opel Zafira, which made the trip difficult. People here don't like to keep their distance, which can be unpleasant. Still, the place itself is perfect for unwinding, whether as a couple or with children. It's peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views and cool, clean air. There are good hiking trails and charming little towns nearby. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We had a wonderful week. The hosts were so nice, and Blue felt right at home, with dogs and cats welcome. It's a lovely place for anyone after some peace and relaxation. Thank you! From Marco, Evelin, and Blue.
