Agritur Mas Dei Chini

We enjoyed our visit and spent around 50 euros, which felt neither cheap nor wildly expensive. The wine was tasty, and we liked the cheese, salami, and mini burgers. We sat indoors, where the decor was fairly generic and nothing special, though there was nothing to complain about. The wine descriptions were quick and didn't offer much that was interesting. The owner seemed kind and welcoming when we passed him on arrival, although he didn't come over to talk with us. We chose the red wine tasting. Rosa del maso 2018, made from Schiava and served at 12 degrees, was light, a little dry, refreshing, and woody. We were told it goes with antipasto and aperitivo. Lagrein 2020 was more structured, grown at a higher altitude, and suggested with red meat or salami and cheese. It smelled sweet, tasted smooth and tangy, and had a deeper flavor. Vida Rubina, named after the owner's daughter, was described as aromatic and structured and a good match for red meat. To me it was fragrant and woody, bitter, acidic, and dry. It's a decent mid-range winery experience. Getting here from the city center was a quick walk, but a very steep uphill one.

The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. It's easy to visit as a tourist, and our server spoke Italian, German, and English. We'll be bringing home a lot of the shop's food.

We had a lovely lunch at Mas dei Chini, with superb food, great wine, and excellent service. We also got a quick tour of the wine cellar. Highly recommended.

I stayed for the weekend. The place is very well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
