CASA SAN PAOLO Rooms And Apartments

The room was very basic, and the air conditioning was hard to manage. The fan is really loud and comes on with the light, so if your roommate gets up to use the bathroom at night, it wakes everyone.

Breakfast was a joke, served in a gloomy, bare room in the basement, and not worth the price. The room itself wasn’t clean, and the furnishings felt basic and uncared for.

We paid 80 euros for a really awful stay, and I hope no one else has the same experience. When my boyfriend and I arrived late, we found hair and stains on the beds and pillows. The room was cold, the temperature was hard to adjust, and we had only one thin, miserable sheet. The bathroom was filthy, the sink was dirty, and we couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower. Since it was late, we were too exhausted to call and complain. In the morning, a young woman greeted us without a good morning and wasn’t helpful. At checkout we asked whether we owed anything else, but got no help, just a cold look that felt like she was making fun of me. After I left a negative review on booking, the property first offered to refund half my stay if I deleted it. I agreed, but wrote again the next day to confirm they were serious. They then said they wouldn’t refund me because I “INSISTED” 😂. I’d paid for such a disgraceful service, and asking them to confirm their offer somehow made me the one at fault? Pathetic to the end. I strongly recommend staying away.

The staff did try to help, though they were a bit pushy, especially when they kept asking me to remove my negative review. One issue happened during the first night but didn’t repeat on the second. The room was very cold because the heater followed a schedule and couldn’t be switched on by hand. At night there was also no proper lighting: just one light that stayed on, while none of the others, including the bathroom lights, could be turned on manually. I can’t recommend this place.
