Castle Elvira - The Castle

The food was delicious, especially the pistachio pasta, and pizza night had the best atmosphere. The pizzas were the best we had on our trip. We spent three nights in the “top” room, where the rooftop bath was a real highlight. Starting the evenings with drinks at the rooftop bar and watching the sunsets was lovely. The staff are so friendly and happy to help with anything. There are lovely towns nearby to explore, Lecce was our favourite, and there's a gorgeous beach close by if you'd like a day at a beach club. Castle Elvira is pure magic. Words and photos don't do it justice, and I can't explain the feeling until you've experienced it. I'd highly recommend it 🥰

An amazing atmosphere and beautiful scenery, with such personal attention from the owners, Harvey and Steve. The boutique stay felt like the highest level of travel, and dinner at the restaurant was the best. One of the most exciting experiences we've had in the heart of Puglia. There's nowhere else like it!

We loved meeting Harvey and Steve, the Castle's owners. They were gracious and made us feel like family. The room was spacious and full of character, the staff were attentive, and the food and drinks were delicious. We explored a few nearby places of interest, though we could easily have stayed on the property the whole time and felt we hadn't missed a thing. My wife Kelly and I were in Italy in April for our 30th wedding anniversary, and our stay at Castle Elvira was a highlight of the trip. We've traveled quite a bit, and it's our favorite hotel anywhere we've been. Many thanks to the owners and staff for such a fabulous experience!

The best part of Elvira was the people. Francesca welcomed us after our long trip and made sure we had what we needed to rest. Every server and bartender was kind and a pleasure to talk with. Steven and Harvey came by each day to chat, and when they heard it was our honeymoon, they surprised us with an upgrade to the king suite in the main castle. We loved meeting all the cats too 😂💕. The grounds are gorgeous and carefully maintained, and the rooms show so much attention to detail. Dinner was delicious, and we enjoyed talking with the chef each night. We were delayed by a day and are sad we only had two nights at Castle Elvira. It really is pure magic, and we'll definitely be back!
