The quiet area and secure parking in a closed yard were exactly what we wanted to get away from the noisy city. The rest of the stay was a disappointment. We could hear every toilet sound from the neighboring bathroom through the wall of room No. 16. There were screws lying on the bedding, and the black toilet and poor lighting made it impossible to tell if the bathroom was clean. The door was just a regular room door with a random key, so there was no real sense of privacy. The room only had a skylight. Breakfast was a little meat and cheese, a tasteless croissant, and overripe fruit. We had to sit at a long table with other guests, which also meant no privacy. Check-in at 18:30 and check-out at 10:00 were unlike anything I’d seen before. With city tax, the price was around €100.

We spent just one night here while traveling through Italy, but would happily have stayed longer. The host was very friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Thank you for looking after us so well :)

Everything was clean and spacious, with modern rooms and bathrooms in this lovely locally owned B&B. The bedrooms and bathrooms are private, while the other areas are shared. Breakfast is served in the communal dining room, which doubles as reception the rest of the day. It was okay, with pastries, cookies, and a bowl of fresh fruit for each family, but no cooked food. The owners are an elderly couple who don’t speak English. When we arrived in the middle of the day, the property was gated, and we had to wait with our luggage and travel-weary kids to be let into the main house. We were treated pretty rudely: they demanded passports even for our two-year-old and asked us to pay through some arcane cheque system. It’s not a good location without a car. There’s only one restaurant within walking distance, and it’s overpriced. We used the B&B as a base to explore Venice, but I wouldn’t recommend it for that. Staying near the airport and taking the shuttle that runs about once an hour would be a better option.

The parkrun is under 500 meters away, which made the location really handy. The family who run the place are friendly. Just know the parents don't speak English, so we needed Google Translate; their daughter-in-law speaks enough English to get by.
