iH Hotels Milano Blu Visconti

It’s fine for a stopover. Parking is secure, and although the hotel is close to the highway, it was quiet. Getting back onto the highway is easy. The room itself was okay, but the mattresses weren’t good, the TV picture was slow, and breakfast was below average. I wasn’t satisfied.

We’ve stayed here three times over the past three years, and I love this hotel. It’s perfectly located, the rooms are very good, and the view of the lake behind it is magnificent. The staff are lovely, and there’s a very nice breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

The staff were kind and polite, and the room was spacious and fairly clean. But the toilet broke on the first evening, and the shower drain was designed so that water spilled all over the bathroom floor instead of draining properly. The hotel is in an industrial area with not much to do, though at least there’s a lake in front of it.

The rooms are tidy and very nice, and the reception staff are really friendly. Cleaning is perfect, and the cleaning ladies are very nice and polite. The breakfast could be better. The breakfast staff don’t pay attention to details: they leave the coffee machine without cups and let the croissants run out, while just standing there. They see tables that are dirty and empty but don’t clean them, even though they have nothing else to do. They just chat among themselves until a cleaning lady from room service comes over and cleans the tables. Breakfast team, please do your job as it’s supposed to be done.
