Tenuta la Trebbia

The sea was fantastic, and Tenuta Trebbia is in a really useful spot for getting to either the Adriatic or Ionian coast. We also loved having the pool, which was spotless and got plenty of use every evening, even after a day at the beach. The two bedrooms were spacious enough, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The little outdoor portico was lovely for lunch and dinner. Donatella and Michele were delightful, very kind and ready to help with anything. They’ve even put a small garden by the pool with basil, chili peppers, parsley, and other herbs for cooking. Chiara, who handled the booking at the start, was great too, always available. We had a very good holiday at Tenuta Trebbia.

Tenuta La Trebbia was a lovely way to finish our holiday in Salento. After days spent exploring the region, it was such a quiet oasis to come back to. The house is new, with everything we needed, and it was all very clean and tidy.

Donatella looked after us so well during our two wonderful weeks, and we’re very grateful for the holiday. The house had everything we needed and is in a peaceful spot, just a short drive from the sea. We also had a fantastic experience making our own orecchiette at Masseria Nonno Tore.

The hostess was always kind and quick to come by whenever we needed her. We spent a week at Tenuta Trebbia this August, and the house was much like the photos from other travelers. It’s pleasant to stay in and looks recently renovated, with a small barbecue and sun loungers. The patio was lovely. There are two apartments on our side of the garden with a pool, and two more on the other side, each with pools and outdoor areas, with a partition between them. The outdoor space is large enough to park several cars; we had three. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, though a dustpan, bucket, or basin would have been useful. The rooms are quite spacious, with small closets and not much storage, although there’s a shelf above the bed. There’s no air conditioning in the bedrooms. Each has a fan with lights, and the air conditioner in the hall mostly chilled the entrances instead of the rooms. The bathroom felt a bit overlooked in the renovation. The shower is standard and there’s a toilet and bidet, but the sink is very small, especially for two couples in a house set up for four. An outdoor shower would also have made washing up easier with so many people around. Still, it was a very pleasant vacation.
