6 Ponterosso - Luxury Attic

The apartment is in an excellent location and quiet at night. There’s a lift to the first floor and a secure room for storing our bicycles. For the money, the quality is reasonable and it met expectations. The building itself is old and impressive, with generous rooms and high ceilings, but the design wastes much of that potential. Cheap furniture sits awkwardly in the space, with no clear style or regard for its proportions. A wardrobe and modern bathroom are screened from the main room by a wall that only comes two-thirds of the way up, disrupting the original symmetry and making the place feel like a budget hotel in a once-luxurious house. If you’re only sleeping there and turn the lights off early, that may not matter. I’d also have appreciated a coffee machine and complimentary morning coffee.

We woke to classical music from street musicians in this lovely apartment overlooking a small square. The location is great, with good food just outside. Wonderful.

For the price, you get a perfect location and very spacious rooms.

A nice town with the spirit of Italy.
