We left this awful place straight away. The owner’s way of communicating was strange and rude. In the name of Jesus, don’t even consider booking here. I’d steer clear.

We had a booking, but nobody answered the phone or opened the door. We thought we might have to sleep on a bench. Neighbors said this happens all the time, with people left sitting on the stairs unable to get in. They said the police don’t do anything and just tell people to call the property. Definitely not recommended.

I liked the experience enough to extend my stay, and I’ll definitely return when I visit Triest. The rooms are beautiful, roomy, and quiet, with a vintage style that suits the old Empire-era building. There are three clean shared bathrooms, and I never had to wait for a shower. I was even allowed to bring my bicycle into the room. I booked at the last minute and found the staff friendly. The house is near the main train station, right in the city center. An antique elevator takes you up to the third floor, which was a quirky and fun part of the stay.

We had to leave because of bed bugs, and there was no chance to work things out with the owner. He was extremely strange, and it felt as though we were supposed to sleep in his living room. How is this place still allowed to operate?

A lovely place at an affordable price, with a very nice owner. The location is great for setting off on all kinds of trips. All in all, a great stay.
