BB Palazzo Brigido

After a rough night, we were hoping breakfast might lift our mood. The kitchen was there for guests to serve themselves, but the choices were packaged sandwiches with a best-before date more than a year away, or packaged toast that would probably keep just as long. We drank our tea and left for our next destination a day early. It was a hot day in Trieste, though summer there is hot anyway, and the room was in the city centre. There was a fan to give some relief. But when we went to bed, the disco across from our building suddenly came to life. Closing the window meant listening to the fan, which sounded like an aircraft and blew us out of bed. We tried the disco and the fan, but neither let us sleep. Luckily, the disco stopped at four in the morning, leaving us a little time to sleep.

Getting to the bathroom means walking through the kitchen and dining room while the other guests are having breakfast. The room layout is really poor, and that's a big minus.

The rooms are lovely, spacious, and clean. Just watch for the doorbell, I was looking for a hotel and almost missed it.

The location is right in the city centre, the rooms are spacious, and communication with the owners was good. The apartment has other rooms too, so you'll be sharing it with strangers. We also had no shower products, despite being told they would be provided, so bring your own.
