Hotel Coppe Trieste , Boutique Hotel

The rooms are expensive and noisy, right by the street, with old windows that don't block the sound. Definitely not worth it. If you want to stay awake all night, book here.

The hotel sign is small, so The Coppe was a little tricky to find at first. Once there, the room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping dealt with my request right away. Front desk staff on every shift were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had a good range of dishes and was quite good. It's also close to just about everything, and all in all I had a very nice stay.

The front desk staff were welcoming and helped us with our bags in the lift. The rooms were quiet at night, and the location seemed convenient for most of the places we wanted to visit. We stayed two nights. The room was clean, with a modern bathroom and a really nice rain shower. The bedding was new, though the mattress is firm and might not suit everyone. Breakfast was a large buffet with lots of choices, including gluten-free items, fresh fruit, yogurt, many kinds of bread, and cakes. I'd stay again for the breakfast and location.

The hotel feels more like a 3-star place or a lower-end Airbnb, and I don't think the current condition justifies its price. The rooms are cramped, and the old, noisy air conditioning disrupts sleep with dry air that caused me to have a dry cough and dry skin. Parking is another drawback, with no free option and alternatives that are distant and expensive. Guests should be told clearly about these conditions and the available parking choices. From the reviews, the bathroom seems to be the only notable design feature. The rest of the hotel's decor needs improvement to meet 4-star expectations. These shortcomings fall well below what I expect from a 4-star hotel, or at least should be made clearer given the price range.
