My son said the room was what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. After he left his wallet behind, I messaged them on WhatsApp and they found it quickly and even arranged to send it home. Thankfully, he managed to return and pick it up himself. The staff were efficient and kind, and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

The beds were uncomfortable, and guests can't control the heating. It wasn't worth the money. There are better, cheaper places in Trieste.

8/10
Just five minutes from the train and bus stations, the location was the best part of this budget stay in Trieste. Service was great, and breakfast was a nice extra. The bathroom and shower were very good, and I slept well in the excellent bed. My room was at the far end of a hallway, though, and the Wi-Fi there was below standard.

The rooms at Hotel Milano look a little old, but they're well kept. There was a cold buffet for breakfast, and the staff were fantastic, always polite and ready to help.

I spent most of my time out exploring, but when I was in the room to sleep or relax, it was quite pleasant. The room was spacious and comfortable enough, and the bathroom had everything I needed. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The hotel is well placed near the train station and lovely parts of Trieste, including Piazza grande and the beautiful coastal avenue. There were a few minor things I'd change, but I liked the place.
