The apartment itself was a very nice place to stay. It’s spacious, recently renovated, exceptionally clean, and everything was working well. There are separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a proper dining room. It’s right in the old town, with plenty of pedestrian areas nearby, and a small grocery store a few blocks away. The street out front isn’t too busy, so dropping off or picking up people and luggage by car is manageable. Parking took more planning. Parking San Giusto is about a five-minute walk, across from the police station, but easy to miss while driving and awkward to reach because of the one-way streets. It also fills up often, especially when a cruise ship is in town and pier parking is cancelled, pushing more cars into the lot and surrounding streets. Farther out, street parking is free overnight from about 7 pm. Getting checked in was a bit involved since nobody is on site. We had to submit a form with passport details, then receive or make a phone call so a passcode could be sent to the same device. Our phone batteries made that frustrating, and not everyone traveling has a landline number they can be reached at.
