The room had plenty of space, but it was bare-bones. On a hot day in late May, we walked into a closed-up, overheated room, with no fans and no working AC despite the listing promising it. We were told the central system wouldn't switch to summer mode until June. Nobody mentioned that when we booked, which felt dishonest. Maybe we were unlucky, since I've read other hotels don't all handle it that way. I was told to open the windows. Then we could hear the neighbours, smell cigarette smoke, and got bitten by mosquitoes. There weren't any insect screens, so the stay was unpleasant. In the morning the AC started beeping over and over. I don't know what caused it. I could have called someone, but by then it didn't seem worth the effort. We were packing and just wanted to get out as quickly as possible.

The price was good, and the apartment was a good size in a convenient location. Check-in went fine. Ours faced the street, so there was quite a bit of noise.

The room itself was okay, but the staff were appalling. Several things were missing when we arrived. The remote support team didn't believe us when we said there wasn't even a microwave and acted like we were lying. They eventually arranged to have one brought in. They were slow to reply on WhatsApp, which was the communication method they wanted us to use, and sometimes didn't reply at all. I'm willing to discuss it with the staff, but they'd need to refund the communication.

A lovely one-bedroom apartment with a bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen and lounge. The shower worked very well, and there was a washing machine in the spacious bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment is right in central Trieste, on Via Trento, with restaurants, bars, and cafés just a minute away. Bar Nicola is directly opposite for morning coffee. Trieste is known for its coffee, and the local kind is the real thing, not the Western world's take on it. We were heading on a cruise, and the port was a ten-minute walk away. The main bus and train station was five minutes on foot. Before arrival, we got a message with the access details after sending our confirmation information, along with instructions to contact the owner by video call in the building. I'd definitely stay here again.

It's a nice place, about a 20-minute walk from the cruise port. The lift wasn't working during our stay, which made getting our luggage up and down to the upper floor difficult.
