Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste – Starhotels Collezione

Such a gorgeous place, with amazing staff. We accidentally left some things in the room, and they contacted me right away. The concierge packed them up and mailed them to Venice the very next day. I'm so grateful they went above and beyond, and we'd absolutely stay here again.

The service is what set the Savoia Excelsior Palace apart for us. Everyone on staff was kind, attentive and genuinely friendly, always ready to help and making us feel welcome. The hotel also made a very convenient base for our conference, with quiet rooms and professional arrangements for international guests and scientific meetings. Our room was exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed and kept in immaculate condition. Large windows, elegant decor and all the little details made it feel both luxurious and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight too, with a wide range of high-quality food in a lovely dining room overlooking the waterfront. It was a great start to a busy conference day. The setting is beautiful, right by the sea and an easy walk from Trieste's historic center, restaurants and conference venues. The classic style paired with modern comfort made the whole stay special, and the location works well for both business and leisure.

The private spa was a lovely extra, and we also enjoyed relaxing at the bar in the evening. Breakfast was good quality, though I was surprised that quite a few extra items cost more. We were delighted to get a complimentary upgrade, and the staff were attentive with service at a high standard. Beautiful location and view, too. We had a wonderful, restful stay and would happily return.

A classic luxury hotel at a reasonable price for late April. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we liked having a drink in the lounge. The location made it easy to get to restaurants and the train station. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, and the whole stay was lovely.
