Triora itself is a lovely, authentic village and worth visiting. The other host at the accommodation I was moved to after this incident said it was no surprise, as it seemed the whole village knew about the situation. I had booked one night. The booking system wouldn't let me include my child, so I left her off the guest list. On arrival, the host said this seriously breached local rules: she had already told the authorities there would be two adults, and said the carabinieri would come to check and something would happen. I accepted that I should have listed my child, and offered to register my wife and daughter while I slept in the car. She refused rudely and shut the door. We then asked to register just my wife while I took our daughter elsewhere, but she said that because the booking was for two adults, she could only register two adults. I offered to register myself and my wife and leave with my daughter. She refused again, shut the doors, and left the hotel. A booking assistant was already on the phone for the last part of the conversation and heard it all. She called the situation “bull shit” and said they would contact the owner. As I later understood it, Booking didn't reach the host or owner. Booking.com found me another place in the same village and reimbursed my expenses. After reading other comments about this kind of situation, I can see it seems I wasn't the first, and probably won't be the last. I intend to do everything I can to escalate this. I've already told my company about it and asked them to remove this hotel from its approved travel list.

The room was spacious, clean, and practical, and the B&B itself is beautiful, with a picturesque view over the village. There's an herbal altar at the entrance that really reflects Triora's character, and breakfast with typical local products was priceless. The owners, brother and sister Giancarlo and Roberta, were so kind and welcoming. We came because of the local history, and they know it so well. Roberta also spoke with remarkable knowledge about herbs and brought such strong, positive energy. It felt like a memorable meeting of souls. We chose just the right place to enjoy the feel of this magical village. Anyone who has complained about the rooms or breakfast probably shouldn't come to Triora, since simple, genuine things clearly aren't for them. We'll be back in Triora, and we'll definitely stay at Triora Medioevale again. 10 stars!

The view from the spotless, comfortable room was breathtaking, and the B&B really feels like Triora. Giancarlo was attentive and ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Triora bread. I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it.

Getting there took some searching, and the approach could be difficult if walking is a problem. Still, it's a lovely, unusual place. Our triple room was very clean, with a breathtaking view. The hostess welcomed us warmly and shared Triora's history, as well as everything she knew about herbs.

The hosts made us feel very welcome and passionately shared the story of this wonderful town and its witches. Breakfast was simple and authentic, with typical local products, and the location is stunning.
