Casa Ariis

The room was small and had old furniture that wasn’t antique. There was no air conditioning in either the room or the shared hallway. They provided a small fan, but it made more noise than breeze. The bathroom entrance had a very dangerous step, and the old mattress and pillows were worn and uncomfortable. There was no refrigerator, just bottled tap water, not even microfiltered, and nowhere to set down luggage or personal belongings. There’s no TV, and the WiFi was poor. If one phone connected, a tablet or another phone wouldn’t connect. Dogs had to stay in the room and use the garden, unless the owners’ cats and dog were around. The parking lot in front of the B&B is also the local bus stop area and was almost always full, so we had to park far away and carry our bags back and forth. There was no tourist information at all, and breakfast didn’t match the photos. Also, one of the 5/5 reviews is from the owner.

The owner gave us a very warm welcome. This magnificent old house is steeped in history, and our comfortable room overlooked the garden and its magnolia tree. Breakfast made with local products was delicious. Thanks again for your hospitality.

The bed creaked so much that sleeping was impossible. And despite the listing saying each room had a private bathroom, the three rooms actually shared one.

Quiet, peaceful and elegant, like being home as it used to be.
