B&B al centro storico

Fantastic

I stayed here for a week while in Troina for family reasons. It was so peaceful, and my room had an amazing view. Having a kitchen meant I could make my own lunch and dinner, and the price was very low for the quality of the B&B. The manager was courteous and professional, always ready to sort out any problem that came up during the stay. If I return to Troina, I'll choose this unique B&B again.

Gaetano's warmth really stood out. He's cheerful, welcoming, and clearly loves Troina. The ride through the village's narrow lanes in an Ape was great fun, and he sends guests a list of local sights. Don't miss the Robert Capa museum or the pizza at Black and White. Breakfast was plentiful too, with rusks, milk, tea and herbal teas, jam, cereal, and biscuits. The rooms need some attention, though. The bathrooms should be updated, and the old sponges, while clean, are worn out. The furniture and decorations feel dated and mismatched, with lots of dusty knickknacks, like walking into your grandmother's house. The beds were uncomfortable: both double beds, in “Al Centro Storico” and on Via San Biagio, sagged in the middle, the red sofa bed at “Al Centro Storico” was uncomfortable, and the mezzanine cot on Via San Biagio needs a proper mattress and base.

Everything made for a lovely experience, from the rooms and service to the highlight at the end, an Ape tour through the old Islamic quarter's casbah.
