Arcadia B&B

We were in Tropea for the first time and stayed here for three nights. The mattress was the worst part: you sank into it and couldn't get proper rest. Our ground-floor room also got a lot of noise from outside in the mornings. There was a smell in the room from the moment we arrived, probably from the wardrobe, and leaving clothes there meant they picked up the smell. The sheets were wrinkled and had hairs on them. We asked for fresh ones and they changed them right away, which was good, though the sheets generally aren't ironed. The bathroom was quite dirty, and there was dirt under the bed and behind the fridge too. I wouldn't recommend this place. The price and service don't match.

Domenico was excellent to communicate with. He was always happy to answer questions by text and gave us useful restaurant recommendations. We spent a week here and had a great stay. The BnB is in a quiet area, around five minutes on foot from the town centre and fifteen minutes from the nearest beach. Our spacious room had everything we needed to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed. The shared kitchen was usually quiet, and we could eat our home-cooked meals outside in the seating area. I'd recommend this BnB to anyone wanting to explore Tropea.

The rooms were very clean, and the owners were warm and friendly. Francesco was happy to answer our questions and suggest good places to eat and visit nearby. There's a mini fridge in the room, plus a shared kitchen for preparing meals. Breakfast isn't being served at the moment because of covid restrictions.

We spent five nights here on our honeymoon and loved it. It's an ideal base for exploring Tropea and the surrounding region, with everything an easy walk away. Domenico was a perfect host. Grazie!!
