The studio was clean, smelled fresh, and had a comfortable bed and pillows. Its central spot is handy, with the steps down to the beach just a short walk away. Check-in and check-out were flexible, and the water pressure was fine. The TV didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi password was on the modem in the hallway, but the connection was reasonably quick. I saw ants, so I put food in the fridge and made sure there were no crumbs; then they went away. Those issues weren’t a big deal for me. A bit more information and attention to guests would make the stay even better. Tropea is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

Getting to the beach means tackling extremely steep stairs. The apartment is in a restricted traffic area, and parking is a ten-minute walk away, mostly paid. In July, finding a free space is impossible. Inside, the shower has very weak pressure and drains slowly. There are ants in the kitchen, and the bathroom has just one mirror. The Wi-Fi and TV don’t work, the stairwell light is out, and there’s a strong urine smell at the building entrance.
