La Torre del Mulino - Superior Rooms

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the whole establishment was very clean. Staff were kind and helpful, and Tropea centre is less than a five-minute walk away. We did have a problem with the AC, which can happen. It wasn’t strong enough to cool the room in the hot summer, but the team dealt with it as soon as we raised it. La Torre Del Mulino is highly recommended.

Room 103 was a first-floor corner room, with a nice view down the valley towards the sea. The property is high quality, under ten minutes on foot from the main town areas. There’s no parking on site, but you can park on the street behind the building. A car repair shop sits below the raised gardens, though it was quiet and didn’t disturb us. The bed was large and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was well equipped with a big shower, toilet and Bidet. There’s a kettle and fridge in the room, but bring your own milk if you need it.

La Torre is in a really useful spot if you have a car in an area where parking is difficult. You can walk to both the centre and the beach. The rooms are beautiful, modern and comfortable, and very, very clean. Staff were superb and knew their way around, with directions and places to visit. Just remember those beach stairs are easy going down, but you have to climb back up again 😂

Antonio was kind and helpful, as was everyone in Calabria. The accommodation was clean, tidy, well equipped and high quality. You can walk to the train station and historic centre in just a few minutes, and it’s easy to pop out for morning coffee, head to the beach or take an after-dinner walk. A great place to stay if you’re visiting Tropea!
