Le Roccette Club

I can only give this one star. We stayed for seven nights in September, but the apartment we got wasn’t the one we booked. There are no pictures of it anywhere online, including on the club's homepage. There were three of us and it was too cramped, with only two kitchen chairs and almost no storage. The shower head was broken, water collected on the shower floor, there was mold in both the shower and toilet, there weren’t enough sockets, and one room had no ceiling fan despite the description saying it did. We immediately asked to move. The second apartment was offered as an “upgrade” for an extra €100, but it was worse: dirty, noisy, in the basement and, above all, smelly. Other guests rejected it on the same day, too. We went back to the first apartment because reception said nothing else was available. That night was horrible. The beds were disgraceful and none of the three of us could sleep. Over the next few days we repeatedly asked reception for another apartment and were willing to pay more. We even offered to pay for two apartments for two people each, but they said nothing was free, even though several apartments clearly seemed unoccupied. After four sleepless, awful nights, we were finally offered another apartment that matched our booking. We paid an extra €100 for three nights, the same amount they’d asked for the “upgrade” for seven nights. In the end, I felt we weren’t treated properly by everyone. The beach and the short distance to the city were both great. The three men looking after the beautiful garden were always friendly and helpful, and they also brought us new mattresses and fixed the door that wouldn’t lock.
