The worst part was the neighborhood: run-down, unattractive, and full of rubbish. In 30-degree heat, the smell was so awful it made you feel sick. You wouldn’t know that from the lovely b&b Orchidea photos, so check the location on Google Maps carefully before booking. The owner’s attitude was off-putting from the start. She gave instructions in a very bossy way, and we were only given one room key card, which meant no power when you left. When I took it out for a run, my wife was left without electricity or air conditioning 😂. Breakfast was poor. The croissants were dry; after we asked, the scrambled eggs were terrible. Every day there were just a few of the same cold cuts and cheese. The coffee was the only good part. The owner messaged me on WhatsApp about her passion and love for guests 😂, but for this price we should have looked elsewhere. It was our worst stay in Tropea, and we disliked it enough to leave after three days despite having paid for seven. After we left, the owner deleted our reservation so we couldn’t post a review, then said it was a booking mistake and she had no idea what happened 😂.

Francesca’s care made our stay feel like a real holiday, with a capital H. This lovely B&B is about a five-minute walk from the historic center. The rooms are spotless, thoughtfully looked after, and have all the comforts you need. There’s a huge TV, LED lighting, and even a starry sky effect in the shower. The shared area was just as clean and smelled wonderful as soon as we came through the door. If you’re passing through Tropea, I’d recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed!

Francesca was genuinely warm, friendly, and available whenever we needed her. We had two unforgettable days and would happily come back. The B&B is right in central Tropea, with the beach about a ten-minute walk away; there’s plenty of parking below and at the municipal lot around the corner. Our room was fresh, spotless, comfortable, and had modern technology. Breakfast came right to the room, with croissants, cappuccino, and plenty more. The mini-bar was stocked with all kinds of drinks. Everything was perfect, 10⭐️.

For my first trip to Tropea, Francesca and the hotel staff made things easy with directions and helpful recommendations. They were so friendly and attentive, which really added to a wonderful holiday. The location works well for both the center and the beach, and you can walk to either. The rooms are clean, modern, and lovely, with every detail considered. The property feels new and high-tech, and it surpassed what I expected. Breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning, with a generous range of sweet and savory choices. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Tropea. 🤩
