Townhouse Tropea

The boat tour they suggested was the highlight of our trip, and they also helped us find delicious local products. We spent five magical nights at Townhouse Tropea and wished we could've stayed longer. I traveled with my mom and niece, and we were warmly welcomed and helped throughout. The location is amazing, just steps from the stairs down to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Housekeeping came every day, and the rooms were super clean and comfortable. A special thank you to Rosella at reception for her recommendations and kind heart, and to Paolo as well. We felt at home and would definitely return.

The rooftop was such a lovely spot for breakfast and a little break from the room, and Tropea’s beaches were about a ten-minute walk down. We only stayed two nights and three days with our family of four, including teens, and wished we’d booked longer. The hotel was spotless and really pretty inside, with a central location and great views. David and Paolo were warm, welcoming, and full of useful information and recommendations. They speak English for guests who don’t speak Italian. We’d happily come back. There’s no elevator, so expect some stairs to reach the room or balcony if mobility is an issue. We didn’t mind the climb since everything else made up for it.

Rossella at reception was wonderful, with good restaurant suggestions and tips about the area. The old town location is very handy, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, and breakfast on the rooftop terrace was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tropea Townhouse, but then left our passport and some Euros in the room safe. The hotel confirmed they had both the passport and the Euros, and sent the passport by courier. They later stole our cash. We’ve been trying to get it back since Sept 2023. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT STAY at this hotel.
