Villa Podere Nuovo

You’ll need a car, as the house sits high above Lake Trasimeno, but the views from there are breathtaking. It’s a special, much-loved home, with comfortable bedrooms that also look out over beautiful scenery. We found it spotless and equipped with everything we needed, including hand creams and moisturisers that gave it a little five-star hotel touch. There’s a stylish dining table for gathering, plus a more casual kitchen table and two more tables on the terrace. We visited Perugia, Cortona, Passignano, and Castiglione, all stunning. We could have gone to Assisi too, but didn’t have time. The hosts were organised and welcoming, and I highly recommend it.

Podere Nuovo is beautifully placed, with wonderful views over Lago di Trasimeno and easy access for exploring Umbria and Tuscany. The house had everything we could need for a great holiday. We spent a lovely few days there with friends. Many thanks to Dave and Francesca, we’d highly recommend staying here.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the house itself is lovely inside with all the features you’d expect in a modern home. From the front, we could see the lake and the surrounding area. It’s in an idyllic spot with spectacular views, yet conveniently close to town and the local attractions. We loved our stay and highly recommend this fantastic holiday home.

The terrace has a spectacular lake view, and there’s a great walk through the fields to Tuscany. The accommodation is spacious, and there are many historic towns and villages within an easy drive. We had a great time with the pool table, too. It’s a wonderful property in a lovely setting, and we’ll definitely return. We’ve already recommended it to others.
