Relais del Marchese

I was very disappointed. The property took all the money without telling me its cancellation policy, and I heard nothing from the owner. This was outright theft.

We booked in a rush for a last-minute mini-vacation and didn’t check where Turi was, assuming it was only a few kilometers from Ostuni and had places to eat. Since these were B&Bs, we also expected breakfast to be served. The two families were put in separate properties, which turned out to be part of a kind of hotel spread across several buildings in the historic center. Cleanliness was impeccable, but comfort was nonexistent. Our apartment had three levels connected by steep stairs with very high steps, inconvenient and dangerous when traveling with children. Breakfast was the worst part: it was at a café in the square, not inside or in an adjoining building. There were very few choices, just a cappuccino and croissant, served badly by a rude, nervous barista. If a place is put in a certain category, I think it should provide the expected services or explain how they’re arranged.

The hosts were very friendly, and the apartment had been renovated nicely. It had all the usual apartment services, and the center was easy to reach. Parking was available, but only under certain conditions.

Recently renovated and in excellent shape, with high-quality materials. The apartment is in the historic city center, so the location is excellent. There’s parking nearby.
