Hotel Artuà & Solferino

That little balcony was such a nice touch, and the historic building has a lot of charm. I was in Turin for a conference and had a fantastic stay at Artua & Solferino Hotel. The rooms and layout were beautiful, and the staff, or maybe family, since I think it’s family-run, helped me with everything. Special thanks to the kind woman with glasses who praised my Italian, even with my grammar mistakes! I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Turin. 10/10.

Claudio, his daughter, and sons really do their best to make you comfortable. We left our laptop behind, and Claudio called us right away and arranged to ship it back. The family hotel is sweet and well kept, with very reasonable prices and a location about five minutes from everything. Thanks again, we’ll come back.

We were told our school group of five would have three rooms, but one room only got an extra folding bed. One room ended up sleeping four, and the hotel had to provide another room to the group. The buffet wasn’t good, either. I asked for a soy milk cappuccino and was told it was possible, but the manager made it with cow’s milk anyway. At checkout, we’d asked to leave our luggage at the hotel and were charged an extra €3 per person just to leave it unattended in the main kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for a large group. Based on the service, I wouldn’t recommend it in general.

The staff helped me arrange visits, and breakfast was nice and good value. It’s a magnificent, well-equipped hotel in a good location, with friendly people working there.
