Concord Hotel

The parking service, which is run by an outside company, was polite and efficient. There are stairs from the parking area, so unload your bags in the lobby first. Breakfast was mediocre, with no fresh vegetables, which disappointed me. What made me give the hotel one star was the front desk. The property is in an excellent location, well maintained, and rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. But the desk staff came across as unwelcoming, condescending, impatient, and unpleasant. I hardly needed help, but when I asked about a bill charge, I wanted a clear, polite explanation and got irritation instead. The man with the mustache and the tall woman were particularly poor with guests. Asking about a payment shouldn’t make a guest seem like an enemy. I had paid in full for three nights through Agoda, including taxes. Agoda and Booking bookings show whether local taxes are included or due at the hotel, and mine said they were included, with no extra charge listed. Still, I was billed again at check-in and told only to “contact Agoda.” I don’t want to speculate about why, but the experience felt uncomfortable and left a very bad impression. In response to the hotel’s reply: I understand city tax and have paid it many times around Italy and Europe. My complaint was about how this was handled, not the tax itself. I showed proof that the Agoda payment included all taxes, but staff ignored it and didn’t check the booking details. A brief, respectful explanation and quick verification could have cleared things up. Instead, they were irritated and impatient. A guest’s question is a chance to show good service, and they missed it.

The buffet breakfast was one of the best I’ve had during three straight months travelling around Europe. We were here for a wedding, and the team made us feel completely welcome and looked after. They never made us feel awkward or like we were asking too much. Special thanks to Francesco, Claudio, & Manuelo, who I learned was staging. He has a friendly manner and should do really well. Hotel Concord is lucky to have such great people. 360° of bravissimo, Hotel Concord !!

It’s an old hotel, but still perfectly okay. I’ve stayed twice and will come back. The breakfast was the best I’ve had at a four-star hotel, with a lovely presentation and loads of variety.

Just one night for me, but I’d gladly return. The location was great, the room, bed, and bathroom were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of staff around, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
