Hotel Vistoria Torino

We had a family room on the fifth floor with a huge terrace and plenty of things for the little ones. The spa was lovely, and the staff always made us feel welcome, smiling and ready to help. Breakfast had lots of sweet and savory choices, including homemade cakes and cookies. I especially loved the baked apple with raisins and almond. Everything in this charming winter hotel felt carefully put together and beautiful, like a work of art. Special thanks to Silvia and Bruna. I'm looking forward to coming back!

The breakfast food selection didn't feel good enough for this hotel, but the people working the buffet were lovely, friendly, and polite. I'd shake everyone's hand 🫡. The room itself was comfortable, and the bed made it easy to relax. The minibar could use an upgrade, if you can even call it a minibar. What really bothered me was the dirt: the bathtub was coated in gray grime, the mirror was streaky, and there was someone else's hair in the corners. At €200 a night, that shouldn't be happening.

What stayed with us was the feeling that the hotel's rules mattered more than our wellbeing. My wife needed urgent medical care, but we got no empathy or flexibility, beyond being told about the strict cancellation policy. As we rushed to the hospital in a foreign country, nobody offered practical help, like calling an ambulance or asking if we needed support. I understand that hotels have policies, but a health emergency calls for basic human consideration and care. I'm very disappointed in how this was handled.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the rooms are modern while still being in a historic setting. It was quiet, with attentive hoteliers, and the location in Turin was just right.
